We believe that the gospel of Jesus changes everything. We love Covington and the surrounding communities, and we long to see them redeemed and restored. We are actively learning what it means to follow Jesus and what it looks like to make our communities better places to live. Please prayerfully consider joining us for our Sunday morning corporate gatherings, taking place at 10:45am.

FAQs

What are your beliefs?

Although it’s impossible to state our beliefs in a paragraph, we are firmly committed to the following: There is only one God, and he loves you and wants you to know Him. Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ alone. We love the Scriptures, and believe they are fully inspired by God. We believe that the gospel, the good news of what Jesus has done on our behalf, changes everything.

What kind of music do you sing?

Our gifted worship team sings a variety of hymns, psalms, and spiritual songs. We have a blended worship service, mixing traditional hymns and modern worship songs. We may sing with no instruments, a piano accompaniment, an acoustic guitar, djembe drum, or beautifully combine them all.

How can I join the church?

Membership matters! Not only do you commit to a church, but the church commits to you. We encourage you to meet with the pastor or one of the deacons if you are considering membership. It is important to note that we do believe that membership does not save you, but that saved and baptized Christians should be members and committed to a local body of believers.

What do you offer for my kids?

Sunday morning’s begin with Sunday School classes for all ages. From infants and toddlers to high school students, we have a class for them! Wednesday nights offer Kid’s Quest (2nd-6th grade) and FBC Youth (7th-12th grade). Other opportunities for learning, service, and spiritual growth are also available.

What should I expect?

Every morning service opens with a song. Those in attendance are greeted, announcements shared, & prayer is offered for our meeting. We then worship together through singing. After this we hear the reading of & preaching from God’s Word. Services are concluded in one of many ways: a time of repentance & calling to faith, the Lord’s Supper, a time of reflection & prayer, and/or a celebratory song.

How should I dress?

Our church is a “come as you are” gathering. You will find folks in button-up shirts, occasional men wearing sports coats and slacks, all while others wear t-shirts and shorts. We promise you this, we will love you as you are! Come comfortable, and come ready to worship!

“For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.”

— 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 (NASB)
